You want a tattoo.
It might be your first. It might not be.
You think about where to start. You may have a tattoo regret, meaning you are reluctant to approach a studio again. Or maybe you’re a collector, confident in your vision, with a well-developed tattoo story.
You think you know the style you want. A mind-blowing microrealism portrait. That once-in-a-lifetime black and grey realism backpiece. Beautiful fineline florals.
The tattoo you want has meaning. A moment, a memory, a mantra, eternally etched into your skin. Something to immortalise that trip of a lifetime. A dedication to a mate or a loved one who is no longer with us. Something to cover up a scar, something to celebrate a scar. A marker for a change or a reminder to stay true to yourself. The cornerstone that launches you into a new life chapter.
No two people are the same. No two bodies are the same. No two stories are the same.
No two tattoos should be the same.
Getting a tattoo can be one of the most powerful and profound choices a person may make in their lifetime.
You should expect it to be perfect.
Twenty years ago, No Regrets set out to do something different. This process is the next step in that story — and Ben wanted to tell you why, in his own words.
So why is the process of designing your tattoo left to the fate of the day itself?
Most people don’t realise that it is normal industry practice not to receive your final design until the night before you get your tattoo, if you’re lucky. In some cases, it may not be until the day of your appointment.
Your deposit is paid, and you’ve made arrangements to be in the studio. You’ve likely travelled a long distance, maybe stopping in a hotel the night before. The money is set aside in your account, and the date has been in your diary for months.
You arrive and are greeted by your artist. They show you the design of your future tattoo for the first time. You love it, but it’s not perfect — so you briefly discuss the piece, making a few uncertain suggestions on the fly.
You check the time. You arrived at 11 am. It is now 12:30 pm. The artist is keen to get started. The design takes 6 hours, and your appointment is only until 5 pm. You sense that you cannot afford to delay any longer.
“After all,” you think. “Nothing is ever perfect.”
So, you put aside any doubts or reservations and just go ahead.
Right? Not any more.
Unique to the industry, our revolutionary tattoo design process moves the creative labour out of the studio and into a dedicated design space.
By fusing over two decades of our expertise with cutting-edge technology, we allow you to visualise, process, and perfect your tattoo alongside a specialist designer in the run-up to your appointment with a world-class artist.
With meaningful time to ruminate on your design, the ability to collaborate with our highly experienced teams, make as many changes as you want and even ‘try on’ your design with different outfits, you can know exactly how your tattoo will look on your body before the needle even touches your skin.
No more pressured decisions. No more delays on the day. No more uncertainties.
It can be perfect.
Where your tattoo story begins. Seven stages. Total clarity. One permanent decision made with complete confidence.
Understanding and unpicking your vision
A far cry from the familiar snatched conversation in a busy studio, we begin by assigning you to one of our expert tattoo consultants. This person will be your main point of contact throughout the design process, from enquiry to tattoo and beyond. Your consultant will arrange a specific time to speak with you either via secure video link or in-person at your preferred location — whichever you are most comfortable with. Together, you will discuss your immediate, initial thoughts on the subject and placement of your future tattoo.
A deeper dive into you and your story
Be it a clear path or a blank canvas, these creative sessions are orchestrated to uncover the meaning and the ‘why’ behind your future tattoo. Arranged in person at the studio or via secure video link anywhere in the world, this dedicated time will be used to understand more about your tattoo story, from your lifestyle and interests through to your future aspirations. The better we can understand you, the better we can begin to futureproof your tattoo by always bearing the bigger picture in mind.
After getting to know you and exploring all the various narratives, we now begin to narrow the field. This is where our expert knowledge comes to the fore. During these sessions we work with you to find a main focus that will define the project — honing in on the specific style and deciding on a placement that resonates most with you, all while considering how the tattoo might work with your lifestyle or change as your skin ages.
This is the point at which your story takes its permanent visual form. At this most important and pivotal stage in the process, we offer something unique within the industry: the opportunity to see, collaborate on, and make changes to your tattoo design until you are happy it’s perfect. No being kept in the dark all the way up to the night before your appointment. No uncertainty, no pressure. Instead, we shine a spotlight on your design as it develops, obsessively refining the details until we create something unique to you that will stand the test of time.
Seeing your design beautifully laid out on a page is one thing — living with it forever on your skin is another. Which is why, at this point, we give you something the rest of the industry rarely does: time. You will leave this stage with digital versions of your artwork to take away — to return to across different days, different moods, different moments — until the only feeling you are left with is certainty.
Testing your tattoo: preparing to move your design from screen to skin
This is where the final tweaks are made to your design, and where we transition from creative artwork to the final technical blueprint. We will invite you to the studio well in advance of your appointment to make the final adjustments and create the stencil ready for your artist. As a last check, we transfer a temporary version of your tattoo onto your skin — meaning you can wear and live with your design in the days leading up to your appointment to ensure it is absolutely perfect.
Bringing your artwork to life
The final step is to pair you and your design with the artist best suited to your piece. For over 20 years, No Regrets have built a reputation as tattoo industry leaders, working only with the very finest, world-class artists from around the globe. When you book with No Regrets, you will be matched with the most elite artist for your work — embarking upon a story where you are in control of the narrative at every twist and turn, with no hidden elements, no barriers, and no limits. A story where there are no doubts, and No Regrets.
Complete the form and one of our expert consultants will be in touch to arrange your first conversation. There’s no obligation — just the beginning of a process built entirely around you, your vision, and your story.
When you arrive with no doubts, you leave with No Regrets.
