Andro is a tattoo artist originally from Lipa City, a small but vibrant city in Batangas, Philippines. Specialising in black and grey tattooing, his artistic direction is deeply influenced by his partial colour blindness, which led him to embrace the depth and nuance of monochrome work. Over the years, Andro has explored a variety of tattoo styles, constantly evolving and refining his technique. While he continues to experiment and grow creatively, he remains on a journey to discover the signature style that will ultimately define his body of work. Andro is a resident artist at No Regrets Birmingham.

Where are you from? Lipa City, Batangas, Philippines

How long have you been tattooing? I've been tattooing since 2017.

What inspired you to become a tattoo artist? The first time I got tattooed, something just clicked. It wasn’t just about the design I was getting—it was the whole experience, the energy and the thrill of it. That’s when I knew I had to be on the other side of the machine.

What is your background? I didn’t come from a traditional art school background, I actually graduated with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from a university in Batangas.

What style do you specialise in? I specialise in Black and Grey realism (stippling/whip shading).

What do you like to do in your spare time? I just spend my spare time with my pets and loved ones to enjoy life.

What’s your favourite kind of tattoo to do? I really love to do Illustrative designs using unique subject matters and compositions.

What’s the coolest tattoo you’ve done? The one I did on a Tattoo Expo in the Philippines— the abstract vintage car in forest.
