Chris

Chris’s tattoo journey

Chris’s body tells an extraordinary story of survival from the inside, which is reflected on the outside by the artwork he has chosen to adorn himself in. His intricate full torso tattoo by Bogdan or ‘my life in pictures’ as he so aptly puts it.

His story is one of miracles so it only seems fitting that this would be reflected by the magnificent images of Bristol Cathedral he has chosen to help represent his tattoo journey. Chris was given the chance to re-evaluate his life and to make every moment count. Recovering from cancer ‘woke him up.’ He chose to immortalise his journey through the tattooed artwork on his body. Each detail in his torso tattoo symbolises Chris’s inspiring recovery journey and the support he received.

The amount of thought Chris has put into this tattoo design is astounding. Bogdan has expertly composed the design to fit his body and capture his ideas with minute and precise detail, enabling Chris’s tattoo to give a message of complete courage and positivity. Bogdan truly is ‘A gift to the tattoo world.’

Tattoos with meaning

The message behind this piece is undeniably inspirational. Furthermore, the composition and quality of the tattooing make it an absolute joy to look at. The perspective of Bristol Cathedral fits Chris’s body perfectly and draws your eye in, almost as though you are looking into his soul, creating a deep connection between the tattoo and its meaning. It is a tribute to not only Chris’s friends and family who helped him through such dark and undetermined times. But also, to himself, for having the strength and hope to get through his illness and overcome something that so many of us don’t survive. He has had the second chance so many of us don’t.

Chris hasn’t taken his journey for granted. This is reflected in the optimism and commitment both he and Bogdan have given to his tattoo project. Chris now carries with him a story of strength and positivity that shows he can overcome anything that life throws at him. Make the most of your life. Go on that trip, get that tattoo, and smile at that stranger.

‘You haven’t always got the time you think you’ve got.’
